Scilly day 8 - Pelagic Grey phalarope

It turned out to be a very quiet pelagic with the only new birds for the trip being a single Shelduck and group of 8 Sanderling both in Tresco sound.

The highlight which saved the day was a lone Grey Phalarope near the northern rocks....

Feeding like crazy.....

And usually offering the rear view!

It flew a short distance on two occasions, just a couple of keepers attempting to keep with it in the tricky swell!

It certainly saved the day :-)
